Creativity in Residence: A conducting symposium for music educators

Monday, July 16 and Tuesday, July 17
Daily, 8:30 am – 4:30 pm, with optional evening activities
Hingham Campus

The 3rd annual SSC Music Educator Retreat will explore the art of conducting and teaching from the podium. Sessions for the 2018 Educator Retreat will include:

  • Creating an Arts Culture
  • Expressive Movement for Conductors
  • Meditation: strategies for centering the mind and body
  • The Silent Art
  • Panel Discussion: lead and inspire

Conductor Track: $200
In addition to attending and participating in all sessions, conductors will have two, 15-minute conducting sessions with the Festival Wind Ensemble
(Limited to 8 participants)

Participant Track: $150
Attend and participate in all sessions

College Track: $100
Discounted rate for collegiate music majors
