South Shore Conservatory celebrates 100 years of jazz and the artists who shaped America’s most original art form. In honor of the 100th birthday of Miles Davis, this concert traces the great lineage of jazz through the big band tradition, featuring music by Miles Davis, Count Basie, Duke Ellington, and other masters who defined the sound of a century. Showcasing the Foxboro High School Jazz Band, an elite, award-winning ensemble led by renowned educator and director Aaron Bush, with guest artist Grammy Award-winning trumpeter Bijon Watson.

Featuring favorite crooners from the Rat Pack era, including Frank Sinatra, Bobby Darin, and Dean Martin, this swingin’ evening also welcomes special guest vocalist Sarah Bass, singing selections from the Ella Fitzgerald songbook. Backed by a 16-piece professional big band featuring some of Boston’s best jazz artists, this concert delivers big band swing at its finest.

Directed by Tony Award nominee Adam Pascal, this special production stars Harbour Lights Theatre Artistic Director Mickey White in the title role of Evan Hansen. Experience the Tony Award-winning musical with a live band, full scenic design, professional lighting and sound, and a cast of exceptional performers.

Running August 6-9, this production marks the launch of the South Shore’s first summer stock theatre experience of its kind, bringing Broadway-caliber performances to the region.

Voices of Broadway: A Duxbury Music Festival Preview Concert
