Ages: 6-7
Location: Hingham and Duxbury campus
Introduces young dancers to the essential building blocks of classical ballet, with a focus on foundational arm and foot positions, along with developing body and spatial awareness and simple movement sequences. Classes incorporate skipping, galloping, and imaginative exercises to keep learning engaging while students begin exploring basic turning and jumping. At this stage, the core principles of ballet technique begin to develop and take hold. Students are also introduced to character-based movement, supporting creativity alongside technical growth. They will begin to deepen their understanding of ballet terminology, learning new terms and expanding their vocabulary of steps as they continue to build confidence and coordination.
