Teaching Artist: Talia Rubenstein
Through individual exercises and collaborative activities, students will explore song structure, melody creation, lyric writing, and creating chord progressions. Students will be given a prompt each week to use as the starting point for an original song – written either by themselves or with another student in the class!
Some examples of these prompts may include:
- A song from someone else’s point of view
- A song using only two chords
- A song about a childhood memory
