Jeff “JJ” Armstrong

Teaching Artist Statement
My main objective as a music teacher is to nurture and amplify the student’s love and curiosity of music. I feel it is of utmost importance that the students are encouraged to pursue and develop the material and approach that they naturally resonate with. For then, the journey of musical development coincides with personal development and is no more perceived as work. At this point, the student is aligned with pure passion and even the necessary fundamental disciplines become a joyous and satisfying endeavor.
