About the Workshops

  • Purpose: Friendly coaching environment to run performance pieces, rehearse with a pianist, and build stage confidence.

Sign-ups:

  • Decide on a piece with your student
    • If the piece requires piano accompaniment, please send the sheet music to the Faculty Facilitator by Wednesday, the week before the workshop.
  • Sign up for a workshop. You must be logged in with your SSC gmail account to access the documents.
  • Students who are performance-ready after their workshop can participate in that month's recital.
    • Workshop students are automatically enrolled for the recital. If your student cannot attend the recital, please notify the faculty facilitator.
  • Students who are ready to perform but cannot attend a workshop may submit a video of their performance

Repertoire & Piano Accompaniment

  • Students should arrive knowing what they intend to perform and bring their music.
  • If a collaborative pianist is needed, email piano parts to the month’s facilitator by the Wednesday before the workshop.

Workshop Attendance & Recital

  • Students who are performance-ready after workshop coaching are welcome to perform on the upcoming recital on May 31.
  • If a student is recital-ready but cannot attend a workshop, email their name, repertoire, and duration (video link optional for review).
