Teaching Artist Statement
In my teaching I strive to communicate the passion and love I have for music. Music is one of those trips where you never get to your destination. There’s always some place else to go. This is the beauty and the allure of music. I share my knowledge and experience so students can find their own path. I believe in giving students a strong foundation so they have the tools to communicate whatever their artistic goals might be. All students are unique, so I differentiate my lessons to encourage and address each individual student’s strengths. There are many ways to help a student reach his or her goals. Music is a challenging art form but also one of the most fun, rewarding, and enriching experiences one can have.
