Chip Halt received his musical training at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music, where he studied with Floyd Cooley of the San Francisco Symphony. An active performer the Boston area, he has played with many local orchestras, including Boston Lyric Opera, Boston Modern Orchestra Project, Boston Philharmonic, and Indian Hill Orchestras. Currently a member of the Claflin Hill Symphony and Summer Winds, he has also played with the Albany Symphony, Portland Symphony, Flagstaff Festival of the Arts Orchestra and many others. As a member of the Epic Brass Quintet, Mr. Halt has made several recordings, and has appeared as soloist with orchestras across the country.
