Through curated recordings spanning bebop, cool jazz, modal jazz, and fusion, this talk explores how Miles continually reshaped the sound of jazz and launched generations of groundbreaking musicians.\nIn addition to guided listening with Dr. Steve Bass, Artistic Director (South Shore Conservatory) the event features live musical demonstrations by South Shore Conservatory jazz piano faculty Jeff Williams and Bijon Watson, a Grammy-winning trumpeter.
