Want to have your work played for an online audience of thousands?
Submit your original music to e.puzo@sscmusic.org in mp3 format by Friday, March 12 for a chance to win a three hour professional recording session and CD. The winning submission will also be played on South Shore Conservatory’s website.
You do not have to be a Conservatory student to enter.
Guidelines and Rules
Entries must be:
Original content
No more than 5 minutes in length
Any genre and any combination of instruments, vocals or technology are welcome.
Appropriate content (we reserve the right to not accept entries that we deem to be offensive or inappropriate)
All submissions, lyrics and information must be sent to e.puzo@sscmusic.org by Friday, March 12, 2010. Voting begins March 15 and ends April 23.
The winner will be announced May 3.
PRIZE:
Competition winner(s) will receive a three-hour professional recording session at South Shore Conservatory in Duxbury, and a CD of their final work. A portion of the winning submission will be played on the South Shore Conservatory website.
RULES:
Music must be submitted in mp3 format.
If the entry contains lyrics, a lyric sheet must be included.
Names, ages and towns of all performers must be included.
Participants must be amateur composers and must not be directly related to South Shore Conservatory faculty or staff (children, spouses, siblings).
Participants may submit up to three entrees.
FOR VOTERS:
Vote only once a day for your favorite composition. Entries will be judged and scored by panel of South Shore Conservatory faculty members. Judges scores will then be combined with online votes to yield a winner.
