Teaching Artist Statement
I feel that the art of playfulness is essential to unfolding the creative potential in all children. To model play for children, the adult must allow for this joyful process to unfold naturally. This process requires an extravagance of time, passion, energy, and joy. By exploring and exercising within this process, the child uses their imagination and creativity while the awestruck educator participates in wonder, documenting this journey in words or pictures.
