South Shore Conservatory Preschool
Hingham Campus

Licensed by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts Department of Early Education and Care (DEEC), the Conservatory recognizes the Department of Early Education and Care as the licensing authority. In Hingham, the liaison board to DEEC is the Hingham Board of Health. All children entering pre-school must be potty trained.

South Shore Conservatory's Preschool, voted one of the Best Schools of 2007 by Boston Magazine, is an arts-principled, child-centered program, designed to build sound socialization skills, positive self-esteem, and independent thinking. These are taught through regular exposure to music activities based on established early childhood music philosophies, drama and speech play, visual art projects, creative movement, and physical education activities. The preschool schedule allows for free choice to foster confidence and independence, and "Learning by Doing" is the predominant theme.
