Teaching Artist Statement
I would like to help students become excellent musicians and lifelong pianists through the appreciation of music, good discipline, and a sound technical foundation.

Teaching Bio
June Chen, a native of Taiwan, came to the U.S. to train as a professional pianist at the age of 14. She received her Master's degree in piano performance from Yale University and another master's in music education from Teachers College, Columbia University. She has performed internationally, and garnered prizes that resulted in concerto appearances with the Wellesley and MIT Symphony Orchestras, as well as honorable mentions at the Artist International Competition.

June enjoys working with all levels of students, and covers a wide range of musical genres including classical, jazz, and pop. June has recently received her doctorate degree at Boston University and has been a faculty member at South Shore Conservatory since 2011.
