Join the largest flute symphony in the nation and the ONLY flute symphony online!

Summer after summer, Flute Symphony players come to South Shore Conservatory to meet and perform with some of the area’s best professional and amateur flutists.

The program acquaints students with a variety of music styles, from baroque and classical, to “pop” and jazz, and introduces the music of present-day composers. Students gain stronger skills in reading, intonation, listening, breathing, improvisation, phrasing and musicianship, and learn to think in terms of harmony as well as melody. This summer we gather online to play and learn together, culminating in a virtual ensemble of flute symphony selections.

Join the first virtual Flute Symphony this summer and be a part of history! Gather via Zoom to play and learn together. Work on a wide variety of music, culminating in a first-of-its-kind virtual flute symphony ensemble performance, produced by New York audio engineer, Steve Metivier.
