WORK STUDY PROGRAM

The Work Study Program was established at SSC as an additional means by which to assist families in meeting their tuition obligation. Families will have the opportunity to gain assistance through accumulating a certain number of work hours at SSC to be designated by the Scholarship and Work Study Committees.

After being awarded Work-Study hours, students and parents will be assigned jobs based on their skill set, availability and preferences indicated on their Work Study application. While we do our best to fit an individual to a preferred task, we cannot guarantee that any individual will receive a particular task. A time sheet for each Work Study family will be kept at the campus at which they volunteer. The person fulfilling the Work Study award is responsible for keeping an accurate record of his or her hours worked.

The sheet will then be approved by a member of the administration and submitted to the Scholarship and Work Study Committees for review. The Work Study award will be applied to the account after the work has been completed and approved.
