Robert C. Reustle

Robert began his musical studies in Philadelphia under the instruction of Dennis Wasko. He graduated from high school in southern New Jersey and was awarded the Promising Young Artist’s Scholarship to attended the University of the Arts in Philadelphia. During Robert’s undergraduate studies he performed throughout the tri-state area in a variety of settings and musical genres, including classical, jazz, contemporary, and commercial. In addition to performing with the UArts big band, orchestra, and theater pits, he was a member of the South Jersey Area Wind Ensemble, the Philadelphia Sinfonia, the Lars Halle Jazz Orchestra, and played with pit orchestras for the Arden Theater, the Media Theater, and Haddonfield Plays and Players. His Bachelors degree was awarded with Honors and he received the Director’s Award and the Rick Kerber Memorial Trumpet Award. Robert has also studied with Robert Early, John Thyhsen, George Rabbai, and Trent Austin.
In 2006 Robert was accepted to further his studies at Boston University, and completed his Master’s degree in Trumpet Performance under Prof. Terry Everson. He graduated in May 2008 and has since performed with The Longwood, New Bedford, Atlantic, and Indian Hill Symphony Orchestras, as well as the Southern Massachusetts Festival Chorus orchestra, the Marsh Chapel Collegium, Alea III New Music Ensemble, and is a member of the Fenway Brass Quintet. In 2008 Robert was a semi-finalist in the National Trumpet Competition held in Washington D.C.
He has taught as a music educator for The Brimmer and May School, Egg Harbor Township High School, and Music’s Cool Academy of Music. Robert joined the faculty as South Shore Conservatory in 2010.
