Susie Guthro

Susie is a former company member of Jose Mateo Ballet Theatre where she performed corps de ballet and soloist roles. She has danced with Indianapolis Ballet, Boston Early Music Festival, Boston Liturgical Dance Ensemble, Margot Parsons, and The Portland Ballet.

Susie began her teaching as a student teacher at Joffrey Ballet School in New York. Over the last ten years she has taught for many area schools including Jose Mateo Ballet Theatre Young Dancer's Program. Having the opportunity to work with many great teachers and choreographers throughout her training and career, Susie is thrilled to impart all that she has learned with her students.  She is proud to bring encouragement and a positive atmosphere to all her classes.
Susie was a scholarship student at Joffrey Ballet School's trainee program and has studied ballet with Boston Ballet School, Royal Winnipeg Ballet School, Pennsylvania Ballet School, and North Carolina School of the Arts. She received her early training at The Portland Ballet in Maine.

Susie Guthro is an ABT ® Certified Teacher, who has successfully completed the ABT® Teacher Training Intensive in Pre-Primary through Level 5 of the ABT® National Training Curriculum.

Susie has been a faculty member since 2004.
