Assunta "Su" D'Ambrosio
Early Childhood Chair Assunta "Su" D'Ambrosio holds an MM from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, a BA in Music from Smith College, and Orff certification from the University of Massachusetts, Lowell. At South Shore Conservatory she is the preschool and kindergarten classroom music specialist, as well as teacher for
Drum! Sing! Dance!, Instrument Sampler and Recorder Time! She taught general and instrumental music in public schools for 17 years, most recently as an instrumental music specialist for Norwell Public Schools. Before taking the position as early childhood department chair, Su also taught preschool and kindergarten music at Kids Port Learning Center in Plymouth, where she lives with her husband, Bob, and her two daughters, Maria and Rosa. In 2007 Su became manager of the Conservatory's Home School Arts Institute.
