Teaching artist statement:
As an educator I am always trying to refine my approach with my students in the hope that they will become lifelong learners who possess a curiosity and appreciation of music. My responsibility is to challenge, support and inspire my students. My teaching philosophy focuses on three major factors that I believe are inherent in any successful musician: understanding and mastering rhythm, demonstrating solid physical technique on the instrument, and performing with a sound that is pleasing and characteristic of the instrument and the literature. I am honored to be a part of the South Shore Conservatory faculty.
