Pre-Primary
For three and four year-olds, this 45-minute class allows children to explore their imaginations through the experience of music and movement.
Duxbury: Tuesday 3:00-3:45 pm or Saturday 9:00-9:45 am
$600/year plus $35 annual registration fee

Intro to Ballet
For students age three to six, this 60-minute class allows children to explore their imaginations through the experience of music and movement. Students are also introduced to basic dance steps.
Hingham: Thursday 4:15-5:15 pm
$335/semester

Primary

In this one-hour class for five and six year-olds, students learn to explore ranges of movement through basic dance steps (chasse, polka, skipping, etc.) that help them develop basic rhythm and movement skills and posture awareness.

Ballet: Level 1
Taught through structured exercises at the barre and center, this program for children ages seven through nine is a formal introduction to classical ballet and vocabulary.
Duxbury: Tuesday 4:45-6:00 pm
Hingham: Wednesday 5:15-6:30 pm
$790/year

Ballet: Level 2
Continuing formal ballet training, this two-day-a-week class is recommended for students ages 8 - 11 who have successfully completed at least one year of Level 1 training. Enrollment is after evaluation only.

Ballet: Level 3
Students having mastered Level 2 skills continue to advance their ballet technique and begin preparing for regular training en pointe.

Children's Ballet Ensemble
Children's Ballet Ensemble For students of Ballet 2 and Ballet 3 by invitation, this class will be dedicated to learning choreography for presentations including South Shore Conservatory student recitals and additional performance opportunities.
Duxbury, Saturday 9:00-10:00am tuition
$240 per semester.


Ballet: Level 4
This technically advanced class provides first steps toward solidifying each student's plans for long term ballet studies.
Duxbury: Monday 6:45-8:15 pm, Wednesday 5:45-7:45 pm, Friday 5:45-7:45 pm, Saturday 10:00-11:30 am

For students who are dedicated to continuing their classical studies and prepare for a preprofessional level of training.

Hip Hop 1, ages 5-8
A fun approach to movement, this class is an introduction to Hip Hop using rhythmic beats and styles of this dance discipline to encourage gross motor development. Students learn and present choreographed routines.
Duxbury Saturday 10:00-11:00 am

Hip Hop 2, ages 8 and up
This class is a more comprehensive study of hip hop, building on the rhythmic beats and style of this genre. Students learn and present choreographed routines.
Duxbury: Saturday 11:00 am-12:00 noon
Hingham: Thursday 5:15-6:15 pm

Ballet Repertoire and Variations
Duxbury: Saturday 11:30 am-1:00 pm
Offered for students levels 3 and up, this class is dedicated to learning and rehearsing choreography. Students will have an opportunity to learn the classic ballet variations from the famous ballets as well as participate in original choreography. Offered as a 16 week program, students will showcase their work at the end of each session in a small in-studio performance. This class will provide SSC with a group of dedicated young dancers who will be eligible to perform in any other SSC event as needed. Ex; SSC Student Recitals, Open houses, lecture demonstrations, Family Arts Fest etc. Students of this class will also perform in outreach and community performances around the South Shore area. Students must be registered for all their scheduled level technique classes to participate. 
$360/16 weeks


Teen-Adult Hip Hop
Tuesdays 7:00-8:00 pm Duxbury Campus
For ages 16+, learn street dance and get toned with cardio and core strengthening to fun hip hop and pop music. Come have fun and be ready to sweat! (Street shoes are not allowed in the studio, please bring a clean pair of sneakers for this class.)
$225 per 8 week session
First Session 1/24-3/21 (no class on 2/21)
Second Session 3/28-5/23 (no class on 4/18)

Summer Ballet at SSC - 2017

Duxbury campus

Children's Ballet Camp
(ages 7-10)
June 26-30, 9 am to 1 pm
The Children's Ballet Camp is a week long camp for ballet students ages 7- 10. Students have daily ballet technique classes, workshops and craft time, and classes in other genres, such as Hip Hop, Contemporary, Choreography and Yoga. The week ends with an end-of-camp performance.
Tuition: $300

Ballet Bootcamp
(ages 11+)
June 26-30, 2 to 6 pm
This weeklong Ballet Bootcamp gives intermediate and advanced students a chance to intensify their training with daily technique classes, daily pointe classes, stretching and conditioning, and sessions on other complimentary genres such as contemporary and yoga. This is a great way for young dancers to gear up for their summer intensive studies or for a quick boost of ballet before summer activities. Placement for Ballet Bootcamp is by evaluation. Intermediate/Advanced Technique
(ages 12+)
Tuesday-Thursday August 8-24, 5 to 7 pm
