In our Arts Community, our early childhood enrichment classes are small so that we can get to know each child and each family. Our offerings are rich and multi-faceted so that we may nurture many pathways. Start planting those creative seeds today....

For children zero to four with caregiver. Children will often sing before they speak. This is because music is truly a universal language that has the power to bring families and communities together in harmony. Come create a joyful musical environment through song, dance, and rhythmic play and make playful connections to last a lifetime! Adults, regardless of musical ability, find it fun and easy to help create an environment that supports any child in achieving basic music competence. Children of mixed ages participate at their own level by singing, moving, listening, and exploring instruments.
Classes: Over thirty 45-minute classes offered in four locations including Hingham campus, Duxbury campus, Mamas Move! (Norwell), and Our World Children's Museum (Cohasset).

Music Course Descriptions
Drum & Sing! I, Ages 4-6
A class that allows children to explore the world of music by making music. Students will move, sing and play percussion instruments and listen to a wide range of music with a focus on American folk music. You will see your child’s ability to sing in tune, perform steady beat and understand basic rhythm patterns grow through a variety of songs, games, dances and activities designed to be fun and instructional. This class is a great choice for students who love music, are considering lessons or as a companion to private instruction.
Drum & Sing! II, Ages 6-8
Students who continue from Level I will build on the skills they have developed. New students will be immersed in a fun class that will foster the development of their basic skills. All students are allowed to develop at their own pace and are encouraged to reach toward their potential. Literacy skills are introduced in a sequential approach that helps students connect what they are hearing to notation. This class is a great choice for students who love music, are considering lessons or as a companion to private instruction.

Drama: Curtain Going Up
Designed for children, ages 4-6, "Curtain Going Up" offers our youngest performers an opportunity to develop speaking, listening, and social skills through structured dramatic play. Students engage in creative exploration through participation in theatre games, as well as an age-appropriate "mini-musical" experience, integrating simple song work and movement.
