American Songbook

American Songbook is a group class for adults and high school junior and senior singers who wish to explore, interpret and perform this wonderful genre in their own unique way.  Students will find their voice, their passion and their music!  This 90-minute coaching class focuses on vocal technique, style, acting, presentation, musical arrangements, and stage skills. Young adult and adult singers learn vibrant new performance skills and repertoire by composers such as Gershwin, Cole Porter, Rogers and Hart, Dorothy Fields, Harold Arlen, Burton Lane and many other great composers of our American standard songs. Classes incorporate performance and supportive feedback in a master class setting.
